Microsoft hires Navah Hopkins as its new Ads Liaison

Navah Hopkins is joining Microsoft Advertising as its new Ads Liaison.

  • Hopkins announced on Friday that she was stepping down from her role as brand evangelist at Optmyzr, which she held for over four years.

Why we care. Hopkins is a Search Engine Land contributor and long-time SMX speaker. She brings nearly two decades of digital marketing expertise, including 10 years collaborating with SaaS product and engineering teams. This gives advertisers a go-to public face whenever they have a concern or feedback about Microsoft Ads.

  • “I report directly to the Product team,” Hopkins shared in a LinkedIn post. “That means all the feedback will go straight to the amazing product leads.”

Human touch. Hopkins emphasized that Microsoft’s approach to AI remains people-first. And she indicated that B2B advertisers won’t be overlooked in her new role at Microsoft.

How it happened. This move was sparked by a chance Sunday conversation with Tim Frank, head of product for Microsoft Ads, according to Hopkins.

What’s next. Hopkins plans to continue sharing general PPC advice and remain a familiar face at industry conferences – just with an extra dose of Microsoft cheerleading.

Bottom line. With her blend of marketing know-how and product collaboration experience, Hopkins is set to become a bridge between Microsoft Ads’ product teams and the broader advertising community.
